A floor-grazing kaftan set made from pure silk. The surface layers feature contrast patch-work that is outlined by hand, filled with zari and resham to build the motifs at the yoke. The surface is then worked, motif by motif, with golden cutdana, hand-cut sequins, fine zari and glass beads, with dull-gold detailing and faceted blue rectangular stones set through the yoke.
Each kaftan represents roughly 98 hours of patching, highlighting, and hand embroidery.
